23.32 now. Nearly midnight dan saya masih segar bugar gegara menenggak kopi jam 8 tadi buat ngelarin tugas konseling yang ternyata agak merepotkan juga
I fall in love with this song. Again. After years have passed. Ini semua gara-gara Jumat lalu saya nonton salah satu program musik di sebuah TV swasta yang menayangkan video klip lagu ini dan saya langsung melongo speechless kayak "ASTAGA JENNY DONG." Mungkin sekitar 6-7 tahun lalu, lagu ini lagi hot-hotnya pada masanya di kalangan remaja. Dulu saya cuma pendengar yang dapet info soal lagu ini dari hal-hal umum tanpa mencari tahu (radio, misal, atau pentas seni, atau anak laki-laki yang suka ngeband, atau teman perempuan yang ternyata seleranya sama kayak saya). This song has power. I can play this song on repeat for more than a week if I want to. Setiap mendengar lagu ini rasanya saya seperti baru mendengarkan lagu yang baru rilis, adiktif dan nostalgik sekaligus. Lucunya, kalau 6-7 tahun lalu saya suka banget sama lagu ini karena nada yang menarik dan suara Kyle Patrick yang manly parah, kali ini saya jatuh habis-habisan pada lagu ini (lagi) karena maknanya yang subhanallah ya noyor juga ternyata. Wish I'm not somebody's Jenny. Kapan pun. Apalagi Jenny-nya Kyle, kasihan ganteng gitu masa digantungin, gak tega :"( (HEH) (MULAI NGELANTUR KAN INI)
Please listen if you haven't. Enjoy my midnight recommendation, this band was (yes they disbanded :( ) kind of underrated even if they had such good talent and great genre and of course meaningful lyrics.
